so this might be my last update until I get home, but I will write one out tonight and post it as soon as possible.
ok so last night was very powerful and humbling… the little kids did a drama that we called sin box (it’s sin chair with a box) it was really good and cute. then during the worship the worship leader asked Jodi and some of the girls to come up and do the motions for one of the songs, Lord I lift Your Name on High. they had fun with it. and the message was very good. Pastor David reminds me of a TV evangelist, except he actually preaches the gospel. it was really powerful. after the message, Pastor David called us up to the front and presented us with gifts from the church. little bags hand-made here in the city. we were very blessed. he prayed for us and thanked us all and was blessed to call us brothers and sisters in Christ. it was a great wrap up to the week, but it didn’t end there. after an emotional good-bye, we went to Pastor Brady’s church and prayed over it and blessed it for him. he was very honoured that we did that, he also brought his 1st few members to pray with us (his 1st service is tonight, Fri). and then it was another emotional good-bye. I will never forget Pastor Brady, he has been and inspiration to me this week. I hope to come and see him again, to see what God is doing with his church.
after that we had our evening debriefing and it was really interesting to me to see how the members of our team were affected this week. it really was a powerful week. I almost don’t want to leave… but I know I need to go back to my mission field, and I am more fired up for that now then I was last week. so many memories here, so many wonderful people, and places (and food ). everyone should go on a missions trip no matter your age & if you don’t know where to go I can suggest a place that will touch your heart. from Santa Cruz, good bye and God bless,
