ok so I will be completely honest with you, the crusade hasn’t been going as well as we had hoped… the 2st 2 nights we had only 40 or so. and we handed out over 2,000 flyers! so yesterday I was thinking and praying a lot about that…are we doing enough, what else could we do, why is this not working as well as we had hoped… so I prayed about it a lot looking for opportunities and I was ready for the chances God gave me. so yesterday afternoon we took to the streets with a different approach. we decided to reach the kids hoping that they would bring the parents. so we quickly learned how to make balloon animals. and some of them played hacky sack. it was a HUGE success!! we had a TON of kids come and get balloons (even though mine were terrible). and so we were pumped for the crusade. so 7 pm came we went to the crusade and it started late (like everything around here seems to do) and at 7:20, there was no one there… we were all kind of discouraged about it. I was praying asking God if we are doing enough what else should we be doing? and a thought came to me that this crusade is not based on what I can do but what God wants to do. so I stopped with the negative feelings and thanked God for the chance to come here and for the seeds that were planted and that no matter who comes or doesn’t come I would give Him glory. and for His will to be done tonight. after that moment the seats started to slowly fill up and soon we went from 25 people there (counting our team of 18) to over 60 NOT counting our group!!! and 2 ladies came to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour, and 2 more did that afternoon when we were in the park & they were there last night!! Pastor David spoke and did a message about the 1st passover and compared that to what Jesus did for us (He was the male, perfect lamb who’s blood had to be shed). and it was really good. it was a really powerful night. oh we also played soccer which was a lot of fun but it was the low point of the day compared to last night. but it was pretty cool to watch (I couldn’t play because of my back).
today we are going to see a Mayan worship…area I guess to call it and a Mayan priest is going to show us around. we want to see what the enemy is doing here so we know what we are up against. also we are seeing the textile area outside of town. that’s where they make pretty much everything they sell in town and it’s a little bit cheaper. so pray that God will protect us and teach us what we need to learn there. also continue to pray for the crusade and for our balloons and such this AM in the streets.
and now a note from Cassie:

Buenos dias! We are doing great1 yesterday we played soccer or, futbol, with the local guatemalans, and I had a blast! I actually was better at it than I expected. Then I spent my afternoon in the park by the market making balloon animals for the kids and advertising the crusade. I had a great time. well, it was sad when I ran out of balloons and I had to communicate to all the sad, adorable faces that I there was no more.
The balloons worked, we had about 50 more people at the crusade last night compared to the other nights. We will be doing balloons again this morning. I was really exhausted yesterday, but I feel better this morning. coffee helps.
Please pray for us today, for spiritual protection. We will be going this afternoon to an area with many Mayan worship places. I know that he who is in me is greater than he who is in the world, but prayer always helps. :) I will tell you all about it later. Much love! -Cassie

Awesom post today, Jim and Cassie! It is so good to see how God is working not only in the hearts of the people you are ministering to but also in your hearts and the hearts of the team. May you be blessed today with fruitful blessings, and may He continue to do His great work through you and in you. May this last day be a day that gives Him glory.
    Love you both!
